Meet the founder
Ryan McLeod · RyanDesign
Race Calendar was built in 2026 by Ryan McLeod of RyanDesign. Ryan has spent his life designing websites, and in the sport. A former GB international and twice British Half Marathon Champion, in 2014 and 2015. After stepping away for health reasons, having heart surgery and nearly a decade out of competitive running, he returned to the sport and finished London 2026 in 2:19:41 as first V40. Race Calendar was created out of frustration with how difficult it was to find running events in the UK. Ryan wanted a simple, comprehensive resource that makes it easy for runners of all abilities to discover their next race.

📊 How it works
We aggregate event information from various sources across the web, including event organisers, running clubs, and entry platforms. Our system regularly checks for new events and updates to existing listings.
Important: Race Calendar is an independent listing service and our data is primarily gathered from 3rd parties. Always verify event details directly with the organiser before entering.
Race Calendar also offers an event entry service which enables organisers to claim and enrich their event listings- you can read more about that here.
Event organisers can also submit their events directly through our submission form to ensure their race is listed.
